April 2004
The new floor was primed and painted before being installed. Most of the areas under the nose were primed and painted. The final coat will be applied once the sheet is completely welded down. Photo by James Kolanowski, Apr 29, 2004.
Here we see the subfloor and all the areas between the frame are in the process of being painted. Apr 29, 2004.
The reconstruction of the battery box and tool box on the engineers side is coming together nicely. Apr 29, 2004.

November 2003

All the rotted sections of steel framing were torched out. This included the battery and tool box frames, and a ten foot section of the side sill. Photo by James Kolanowski.
