CA&E 36 at Forest Park, 1954 - F.J. Misek photo - Frank Hicks (FrankHicks)
Car 36 is on the end of a five-car train at Forest Park Terminal in March 1954. No further proof is needed that the CA&E ran unusual consists, even after the cutback to Forest Park: this train includes a 200 or low 300, two Jewetts, the 36 and - most intriguingly - a very ratty 10-58 series "shorty." Though the CA&E retained several of these cars in marginal condition into the mid-1950's, this is very late to see one on the road and it may have been one of this car's very last trips in service.
