12.27.06 - THIS IS A PHOTO OF THE FINISHED CUPOLA OF THE CABOOSE.  NOTE THAT THE EMPLOYEES RODE WITH THEIR LEGS EXTENDED STRIGHT OUT.  THIS WAS DUE TO THE EASTERN ROAD DESIGN OF THE CAR WHICH HAD A VERY LOW TOP CLEARANCE AND THAT KEPT THE CUPOLA LOW.

12.27.06 - THIS SHOWS THE BRAKE SYSTEM AIR PRESSURE GAGE AND THE CONDUCTOR'S BRAKE CONTROL VALVE.  THE EXTERIOR VENT OF THIS CONTROL VALVE HAS BEEN PLUGGED SO THAT GUEST RIDERS CANNOT OPERATE THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHILE RIDING IN THE CABOOSE.

12.27.06 - TOILET INTERIOR AFTER A REPLACEMNT TOILET WAS INSTALLED.  THE TOILET HAS TWO COMPARTMENTS.  ONE HOLDS FRESH WATER AND ONE HOLDS THE WASTE PRODUCT WHICH WAS DRAINED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR WHEN IT WAS SERVICED.  FRESH WATER IS ALSO ADDED FROM AN EXTERIOR FITTING.  FRESH WATER WAS PUMPED INTO THE TOILET BY USING THE HANDLE ON THE LEFT OF THE SEAT.

12.27.06 - THE SINK WHICH IS GRAVITY SUPPLIED BY WATER FROM THE TANK ON THE LEFT.  THE WATER TANK IS LOCATED BEHIND THE STOVE AND THE WATER WOULD BE HEATED BY THE STOVE WHEN IT WAS IN USE. THE WATER TANK IS SIGNED BY A FORMER CNW EMPLOYEE WHEN THE CAR WAS IN CHADRON, NEBRASKA. LIGHT IN THE CAR WAS FROM KEROSENE LAMPS.  PAPER CUPS ARE CONTAINED IN THE HOLDER TO THE LEFT OF THE KEROSENE LAMP AND THIS STYLE OF CUP WAS STORED IN A FLAT FORMAT.  WATER FROM THE SINK DRAINED DIRECTLY ONTO THE GROUND FROM THE DRAINPIPE.
