This photo shows the 308 soon after its 1939 rebuilding, during which it lost its arched "streamer sash" stained-glass windows. This is the CA&E's first version of the "Early American" paint scheme, with black side sill, anticlimbers and retrievers. Note also that the 308 retains two of its original style side doors; only the doors at the motorman's positions have been rebuilt.
