After the boarding call for the 12:05 Chicago Local, passengers wait to board the train.

With Passengers unloaded, the crew changes ends and prepares to head back to Wheaton.

As train 308 departs, the 2nd section, car 431, approaches from the west.

I don't know exactly what was said by the gentleman in the hat, but car 431 immediately departed westbound back to Wheaton without loading passengers.

Lots of people were stranded on the platform when the trains left. Julie Johnson proceeded to tell them about what had happened 50 years earlier, and showed photos taken of the last trains.

Fortunately for everyone who was stranded, there was a headlight in the distance. The C&NW was still running, and they came to pick everyone up.

The 411 leads the bi-levels westbound to pick up the stranded CA&E passengers.
