The Illinois Railway Museum is running a “Snowflake Special” excursion on the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Join IRM in a tradition of museum-sponsored excursions dating back to 1958! Beginning at Forest Park Station on the Blue Line, our excursion train will travel to the south, west, and north sides of Chicago and will include photo stops and some yard and non-revenue trackage.
Update: Our initial capacity completely sold out, but we have been able to add additional cars to the train. Reserve your ticket today – space is limited and expected to sell out!
This excursion is a fundraiser to support the preservation and restoration of IRM’s collection of CTA rapid transit cars. Everyone is welcome, including volunteers, museum members, and non-members. Don’t get left behind! You are strongly advised to buy your ticket in advance. Purchase tickets here.
