IC car “King Cotton” is a streamlined 6-6-4 sleeping car. It is designed for long-distance travel between Chicago and New Orleans and features a mixture of private rooms (four double bedrooms and six roomettes) and open seating, known as sections, that could be converted into bunks separated by heavy curtains for nighttime accommodation. The sections in this car feature small windows near the roof line designed to admit light to the upper bunks.
