Equipment Information

Milwaukee Road 760 is the first diesel locomotive ever built by Fairbanks-Morse. It is a switcher and was designed to move freight cars around railroad yards at low speed. F-M, a diesel engine manufacturer in Beloit, Wisconsin, was best known for marine engines (including submarine engines). This engine was the first of some 1,400 locomotives F-M built between 1944 and 1963.
