For Fourth of July Weekend 2026, join IRM for an expanded schedule featuring extra steam, diesel and electric trains as well as rarely seen operations. Expanded train operations will be held Friday through Sunday.

Trains & Tunes Concert on Friday Evening

Celebrate Independence Day weekend with a special performance by country band BUCKLE! Chicagoland's hottest country rock band joins us in Union to kick off the holiday weekend. BUCKLE takes the stage at 7:00 PM.

Concert Details

• Bring your blankets and lawn chairs. We encourage you to come early to reserve your spot.
• Pack a picnic dinner or enjoy a meal from our onsite vendors.
• Outside alcohol is allowed at this event.
• Pets are not permitted, with the exception of qualified service animals.

A free fireworks show immediately follows the concert, beginning at approximately 8:30 PM
