Trolley Weekend highlights the electric railroads that once blanketed the Chicago area. Enjoy special operations throughout the weekend.

The theme for Trolley Weekend 2024 is Rapid/Interurban. Join us on Saturday to experience the full range of Chicago's rapid transit history, from an 1898 all-wooden open-platform 'L' car to modern stainless-steel "high-performance" elevated cars from the 1970s. On Sunday, experience the glory days of electrified intercity travel with the nation's largest collection of interurban cars, featuring rarely operated pieces from our collection.

We will also hold a ceremony at 1:00 PM Saturday to rededicate Milwaukee & Suburban Transit 441, a newly restored 1948 trolley bus.

In addition, this year the Used Bookstore is offering 50% off traction books, this weekend only. (Cannot be combined with other discounts; only applies to in-person sales.)

Daily Admission Rates:
Adults $20.00, Seniors and Youths $18.00, Children $16.00

Museum Hours:
Trains operate hourly 11:00am to 4:00pm or more often as needed.
The Museum grounds open at 10:00am and close at 6:00pm.
The parking lot opens at 9:30am and closes at 6:30pm.
