Milwaukee Road 01984 is a standard railroad caboose designed for general freight service over the Milwaukee Road system. Instead of a cupola on the roof it has a bay window on each side to provide the conductor better visibility over his train. It was built by the railroad’s own shops with the same distinct horizontal ribs that were featured by the railroad’s Hiawatha passenger trains.
