Description:Nebraska Zephyr Coach

Equipment Information

CB&Q 4627 “Minerva” is one of the five cars that make up the Nebraska Zephyr streamlined train. It is a full coach, designed as a “day coach” with comfortable seating for medium-distance transportation. The car is articulated at both ends, which means that it shares its trucks with the adjacent cars in the train and cannot be uncoupled. As built there was a coach-dinette car located behind the “Minerva” but the train was rebuilt in the early 1960s without the coach-dinette car.
