ComEd 19 is a self-propelled diesel-electric crane, known as a “locomotive crane,” designed for utility use. Cranes like this were commonly used by railroads for track maintenance and other chores. This crane was last used at ComEd’s Fisk Generating Station, located in Chicago along the South Branch of the Chicago River near Cermak and Racine.
