Chicago Transit Authority 6462 is an aluminum-bodied PCC type ‘L’ car that was built using recycled components from retired CTA streetcars. It is among the most original of the preserved 6000-series cars and retains its original controls and conductor’s station. Car 6462 is permanently coupled to identical car 6461 to form a “married pair” set.
